I have put in a 2-cell Li-Po battery in my Hummingbird. What's a huge difference. Before I used 7-cell NiMh battery and wasn't even able to leave the ground with the stock motor. But now with a lighter weight, the thing just flys. It flies even better than my Piccolo. I hover continuously for 16 minutes. What a big improvement!!! I highly recommend Li battery to you. It worths it.

Fyi, the same Li battery flys 20 minutes on my FUN Piccolo. The Fun Piccolo by birth is more lighter than the Hummingbird.

Same setup than yours, Li-Po are the way to go with those Micro-Heli.

I dug out my old 280 BB motor and put it on my Hummingbird. This motor had never worked on my HB before even with 8-cell NiMh pack. But now I have converted to Li battery and this motor just flies great!!! I always love to have a ball-raced motor on my micro heli (as they last). Furthermore this motor has replaceable brushes. So I guess I will never have to buy stock motors anymore. That will save me a lot of $$$. Oh, I love my HB with the 280BB motor.

FYI, I am using 8T pinion gear and 120T main gear.
