For what its worth I ran a search on RCU on Mark,s Hobby to see if they are a chronic offender.
Judging by the files that came up they do seem to have their share of extended delivery problems and these seem to be oriented to supply problems from the manufacturers.
That of course could be caused by many different factors but what matters is the long wait you the customer must endure.
Im glad to hear you finally got your money,s worth from them and that the frustration didnt push you out of a hobby you will probably enjoy.
You are on a very steep learning curve some of which you will laugh about a few years down the road.
The Planet is doing what it has always done.......floods,volcanic eruptions storms,
earthquakes.........but today there are more people in the way.

My Lanier Hawk ARF glider arrived a few days ago.
The fuselage has a longditudal twist/warp in it due to misalignment of sections during gluing.
The center section wing has a warped spar.
The fuselage has several surface defects/dings due to a worn out mold.
The bolts for the wing elastics are 1/2 inch too long extending into the fuselage adding weight.
The ply fuse frame was glued up without aligning the sections properly.
The person who assembled this thing had to be drunk or stoned.
The instructions leave several things unmentioned.
It seems to weigh much more than advertized.
All and all - a real disappointment.
Stay away from this dog.
Lanier obviously has no quality control program to speak of.
When you add all the delivery problems/damage I had this has been a very unfortunate purchase.
I will never buy a Lanier product again.
