Yes. Im sure that is what he meant.

Also of note, when I was studying for my HAM exam, I noticed that of the 1000 questions, many of them are on the same subject (and answers) but worded differently. So once you do the practice exam enough times, you get the gist of the subject and are able to answer the question regardless of how it is worded.

Much like the similar FAA question pool software I got a while back.

Subject matter is nearly identical to Canadian tests so it was perfect for AME technical exams.

Bill Fraser book for CAR's was the same thing. Practice exams were perfect to get you through the test.

Any amount of time you spend doing this type of practice for tests is worth its weight in gold.

Electric flying is pretty much seeing how close to a dead short you can run without setting it on fire.

Its worth it to spend the extra time and get to the advanced level instead of just barely passing. Just keep doing it over and over the questions are the same memory work is all it takes.

Have not heard the words HAM licence in a very long time. Figured by now they would have changed the name to something else.

Re: FPV illegal in Canada?

it's just slang for Amateur Radio

One thing that really surprised me after getting my HAM was ... all the geeks in town with their HAM handle (OK Amateur Radio callsign) as their license plate number. There are a lot of them like that (easy to tell as they begin with VE7 or VA7 here). Proud of their hobby I guess.

folks in LA have been running into some issues with HAM lately. Nothing bad, just surprising to see HAM broadcasting and repeating video signals on common FPV bands. Demonstrates teh HAm principle of 'listen before broadcasting' or in this case 'check your received video signal before turning on the vTx' Interesting post here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=97
