Kieth I sent an obit for a long time modeler of the Sun Parlor RC Flyers namely one Ed Seguin. I realize it may not have made the last issue but I sent a second email asking for confirmation that you or your staff had received the obit and it would be in a subsequent issue. I have heard nothing from your staff or yourself to confirm that you had received it. It would be nice to know that the obit had been received instead of the family members and club members waiting in limbo to see if the notice made the MAAC mag. When you receive them you must have some idea of what issue it would be posted in.

.............even if I paid in December (which I now found out I did, but I was sure I paid the first week of January)...........matters nothing until the final forms get sent in to MAAC from our treasurer. Apparently that was done late and that is why I missed the first issue. It had nothing to do with me. As for my math, it was only tongue in cheek, but still there MUST be some savings to MAAC for the ( official) late payers.
Keith, the MAAC mag is top notch and I do look forward to reading it and I hope that you continue producing it. I especially like the French translation of it as it takes care of our French members. Nice touch. As for Ty's online version, yes and no. We have a Magazine from our club that is available both online and by mail for the non-surfers. Would it serve to produce a version of the MAAC mag in .pdf format? I'd be interested at a cost savings to MAAC. Certainly.

Thanks, Keith, what I know about publishing would fill volumes, so I certainly defer to your 80% figure. Next question would be, would there be a savings on postage? If the accumulated savings on the paper end came close to covering the electronic copy, then it MAY be worth it.

Aren't rumour mills just the most amazing things? Some people would screw up Jack and Jill if they could remember the words...

I think you are doing fine with MAACMag, there are some things I would like to see included such as Canadian plans for Canadian planes, etc., but unless the membership picks up (and contributes!) we only have ourselves to blame if it ain't like the US AMA mag. And yes, I may now have time to send you captions for those photos, now that I am retarded... uh retired...
