Drone registration to become law in the US :

Interesting perspective the AMA has on this :
The Muncie, Indiana-based Academy of Model Aeronautics said registration is an "unnecessary burden for our more than 185,000 members who have been operating safely for decades."

As opposed to the "MAAC" guy CBC quoted :
"That's a no-brainer. That has to happen," Eddie Jara, of the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC), told CBC News. "You can't just have anybody putting drones up in the air without any sort of regulation or there's going to be a problem."

MAAC needs to make it very clear that ALL RC (and free flight) aircraft are DRONES or UAV's. Their regulations or guidelines should make this clear and also point different levels of risk posed by different aircraft types. Is flying a $300 multicopter a higher risk to the public than a quarter scale 30 lb warbird?
