Graham, If you want a real nice plane thats very reasonably priced I can get you a Tree Hopper.

As you know its an 80" span high wing plane about 14 lbs total. Large interior will allow you to carry a camera , even a video cam. It is a perfect combo for the G23 for which it was designed, a co effort by Dale and myself. Flys docile enough to be a perfect trainer but hit the throttle and she really performs. Its great on floats. Use to tow gliders. Use as a camera ship. Its just a great all around plane.

Parts are laser cut for fast accurate building and needs only standard radio gear. Best of all is the price for this size gasser. Still only $130 from me, no tax! I can even include 5 brand new Hitec HS322HD servos for an additional $60 no tax. Most kits this size sell for well over $200 + tax. Its like getting the servos for free!

The 23 and the Dynaflite Super Decathlon are a great match. Mine really hauls, but I did a lot of weight reduction (13.5 lbs fuelled). I swing a 16x10 at 8500+ RPM with this little beauty. I have two, one first and one second generation. The second generation is quite an improvement IMHO. Tex.

Dont rule out scratch building something yourself too - you can allways draw up a simple "ugly stick" type sport plane (from smaller plans, or from scratch) to 75 or 80" and keep it under 14 pounds, and have a ball. Besides that you can use a lot of cheaper material (1/8 ply) instead of expensive balsa.

if its got a wing or two and an engine - I like it!
