With the book you get access to the web examiner.

Do the online web test over and over again. It will help you learn the material and become familiar with the test questions. When you start consistently scoring in the 90's, you are ready for the real test.

I am suggesting you get in contact with your local Amateur Radio Club, they probably already offer training at no cost to new members.

Amazing! Finally to have stumbled over a proper set of reference materials!

I've been studying the practice exam off and on for a couple of years, and always lose momentum before taking the exam. When I pick it up again, half of the stuff has flitted out of my head.
