Hey guys, anyone know where I can purchase this model, I should have bought one when Hobby King was selling them but they don't even list it anymore except from their Russian warehouse.

John. A fellow club member has one and trust me you don't want one. Even with upgraded fan it's a dog

Re: Durafly Sea Vixen

Thanks for the info Jeff, good to know. That's too bad, it's a nice looking model but maybe that's why they stopped selling it. The video on it shows it flying with somewhat authority. Wonder if he would be willing to part with it, the EDF i was planning to use in it probably puts out twice the power if not more than the stock items they supply with the models.
If he would like to sell it, if it's in good condition, could you put me in touch with him?

I will pass it on and let him know. He is away for the Holliday season but when he is back I will.

Re: Durafly Sea Vixen

Thanks Jeff. If a deal is made, I could pick it up on my way through your area when I return in April from California. Thanks again.

Re: Durafly Sea Vixen

I have one and it flies fine. Not a speed demon but flies scale like at, I'd say, the 60 to 70 mph range. Get's off the grass field in about 60 to 70 ft.
Flies and lands like a pussycat. No mods done to it. Loops and rolls fine from level flight.
Check out the thread on RC Groups.
P.S. The Vampire still on HK site, is still available and flies much like the Vixen. A sweet flier too.

Re: Durafly Sea Vixen

Hi Gord, one on the guys here in Coachella has the Vampire, flies the heck out of it. Unfortunately , I never liked the plane. If I cannot acquire the Sea Vixen, it will leave me no other recourse but to make one from scratch, foam of course. If I do, it will be bigger, cause bigger is better 😋

In that case I hope you dont find one, John! LOL (just kidding)

But if you dont find one, I'd love to see a build thread on a model like that!!

Re: Durafly Sea Vixen

I think the Sea Vixen would also make a really nice turbine jet if done in a proper size, about the same as a Boomerang. I think a 90 mm would be a good size, and no, not a twin, too big, too darn expensive.
