Learned something!!!!!

I was out at the field the other day with my combat ship.
I thought I would ring it out and see what its limits were so I tried al kinds of stuff with it. Up till now we have only had about three scrambles. I was just getting good and comfortable with it.
what an awesome flying machine.
I went up to about 300 ft and put it into a full speed dive. after it gained quite abit of speed(halfway down)I started to add some elevator to pull out. no response, so I added some more elevator, still no response.
OH OH...........Here comes the ground....I pulled the throttle off but way too late to do any good. it drilled into the ground about 8-10 inches into the clay .......after looking over the carnage.. BTW I had to use both feet and hands to pull it out of the ground, we decided that the 45 degree Vtail was probably to blame. as ther was nothing wrong with the control rods and every thing else seemed to be intact.I expect that at very high speed it folded upwards....then when you apply the elevator it has no effect. lesson learned!!!! 30 degree VTail only.
the leading edge has 2" of clay marked up it

will be rebuilding a new one as soon as time permits.
