My congratulations to the new Executive! Fine choice. A large task at hand and one I'm sure you will accomplish.

Congrats to all. Regardless of who won or lost -- thank goodness the war is over.

I am sure that Dave is absolutely correct. "Dismissed out of hand" was a bad choice of words on my part.
I am referring to some of the exasperation displayed on Howie's face and in his voice when some of the resolutions came up for reading, discussion and vote.
During those three days I am sure that everything was discussed as necessary but probably some dealt with more quickly than others if I am reading Howie's body english correctly.
It just appeared to me as though he would like to have said " this bl--dy, stupid thing again!"

Hope everything gets settled in the organization. Getting "real tired of it"
Presonally I know Jim Pepperdine and he is a good choice. I am not sure what part of the hobby he hasn't been involved with including racing but there is not much. He is the owner of a hobby store in Calgary that is moving and going to be bigger than ever so he has a business mind to go with it. He is also very personal and will talk with anybody concerning our hobbies. Way to go guys now everybody can relax except the executive and pres.
On a better side if I see him I would like to get him on this forum. If any of you guys in Calgary are talking to him see if he will. I don't want him on if the guys here are going to tear into him. I want him here for the wealth of info he can bring out and help anybody.

I did spend some time with Jim, and it was, as always, a most pleasant experience. You do met some great people in the hobby and Jim is one of them. He is level-headed and always constructive. It's certainly great that he agreed to stand for the Executive, and was elected. Of course the Executive benefits from having somebody from the West on-board. We can be grateful that we have somebody of Jim's stature working for MAAC.
