Warning about Lanier RC

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
After all the trouble I been through with this POS product from Lanier , I wrote to them to complain about the product.

A guy named Wayne from tech support wrote me back an email after about 6 weeks - he said " have a nice day".
That's all he said.

OK everybody - Please do not patronize these people.
Lanier is possibly the worst excuse for a rc plane maker that could possibly be.

That response from Lanier really says it all.

They have no qualms screwing you over and then tell you to have a nice day.

Please stay away from Lanier RC. I guarantee you'll be sorry if you don't.

Without hearing what your problems were it's difficult to pass judgment on your statement.

Lanier has been around for a LONG time. I think most would agree that they have a reasonably good product. Once in a while, as with sny other manufacturer ( of any product) the odd item gets through that somebody has a problem with.

too bad you didnt come to an amicable solution to your problem

I find it odd you're having so much trouble with Lanier. Bubba will go out of his way to satisfy a customer. Any problems I've had with other manufacturers we've been able to work out so I was satisfied. One did take several weeks to sort out and it turned out the "Boss" was away doing trade shows. When he got back I received an apologetic email and he took very good care of me. Did you ask to talk to the Boss?

In reviewing the post under sail planes,dershark3 seems to be upset with the all up weight of the model. The advertised AUW was at 2.5 pounds but his came out at 4 pounds or 1.5 pounds over.
So one of two things happened, wither Lanier used mini servos, receiver and a 250 pack or Dershark3 over built the kit.
I'm only guessing as he has not advised anyone why he is really upset.
Untill he tells us though,I think that slamming a manufacturer is a bit out of line. This may be an issue of making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Please enlighten us Dershark3 as to what the problem with the product is.
