Hey guys im new here,

I'm sure any of you with the accumulated knowledge can help me out here.

Got a New Bright Jeep for Christmas. i know its a pretty mickey mouse R/C but i wasn't into the hobby. Now I've researched it a bit and plan on taking into this fine looking hobby. Anyways, I was driving this thing around and the steering started acting up. My curiosity had me opening the steering box up in no time. Well the center spring as i'm going to call it binded up and popped up as soon as i opened this thing up. Now I've got no idea where it goes. I've come across another picture of one, but it doesn't give me the clearest image! HELP

Re: Newbie here! New Bright Jeep Steering center spring! HELP!

From the look of the first photo the spring does under the upper gear. It's use is to likely help reset the steering back to neutral.

Good luck

or do what I did and I cut a piece from a stampede chassis where the servo mounts and installed it in place of the old steering block, I used blitz steering rods and a traxxas radio receiver and esc / motor to finish converting it over, if its the yellow jeep Its the same rig, let me know if you want and I can post pics
