We have a new guy in our club and he is going to buy a trainer cord, but asked me first which one to buy. Right now the club has a JR buddy box and that is all, i have an old Hi-tec 4 channel that i am going to donate, will the Hi-tec trainer cord work with the futaba? or the Futaba cord work with the Hi-tec radio? or do we need to find a futaba radio for training. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

The hitec trainer cord will work with both Futaba and hitec. It will also work with a futaba buddy box.

Some of the new Futaba radios (such as the 9C) have a different patch cord though.

This is one of the reasons we supply the buddy boxes for the students if they don't have one.

Great info on that site, thanks
