Ok guys,

After some deliberation here are the official dates:

Spring: June 1st thru 5th with 3rd thru 5th as event days. (we always try to aim the week following US Memorial Day)

Fall: September 21st thru 25th with 23 to 25th as main event days.

Please check back here for when the field will be officially open as it will depend on availability. (Ie access on Wednesday's are not guaranteed)

Cheers,

PaulD

Re: Princeton Jets 2016 dates

Ah damn looks like that's the same dates as the spring float fly in salmon arm. Looks like that may be a no go for me for Princeton this year.

Huh, I thought it was the week after. It was last year.

Re: Princeton Jets 2016 dates

Its the week after the Victoria Day week usually as I understand Grindrod's Spring Float Fly.
Don't know if/why last year was different.

Re: Princeton Jets 2016 dates

No guarantee for great spring float fly weather 50/50. But no conflict for fall Shuwap float fly with much better weather. And as. Paul said earlier scheduling around gloat fly didn't really make much difference to more jet attendance. Weekend after KMAS fun fly at end of May works for me .

The spring float fly is always the first weekend in June.

The Fall float fly is always the weekend after the Labour day weekend as the campground is technically closed after Labour day so we are able to come in and set up on the beach for the 90 plus pilots.

and its too bad the fall princeton date is spaced out to far from the float fly as economically its hard to drive out to salmon arm from calgary and back to only drive from calgary to princton a week or 2 later.

Oh well maybe the year after the dates will land a bit better for me.
