Thanks for the input.

Would Cool Power 15% be too much nitro for this engine?

Maqsood - Yes I know comparing the MA and the APC Scimitar blades are apples to oranges but sometimes apples are a better choice!

Like I said I guess I will have to just try both and see what the difference in the flight envelope is. I am not looking to make this a hotrod but just experimenting. I want to switch to wood to protect the engine on a prop strike. Heah $20 for a new prop is better then $100 for a new crank!

Thanx everyone for your imput. Will let you know how it goes... hopefully next weekend.

I've used Coolpower 15% too. Works fine, it won't hurt the engine. Went to the hobby shop to pickup fuel before going to the field and it was closed so I just used some old 5% I had, and it ran good on that too. I swear that engine would run on kersoene if it had to. It certainly is not fussy like some other engines when it comes to fuel choice. $20 for a woody, heh my LHS sells the 15x8 for $8.95. Yours must have the gold tips

I have done some testing and there is very little difference in most engines going from 5% to 15% nitro, most engines will run fine, just watch that if the engine starts to detonate, you may have to add a few thousandths head shim - but traditionally OS engines are set up for running with nitro.
