Had almost the same problem last summer. Took my gear out of the workshop in the process of going to the field. decided to tell the wife that I was off to the field when all hell broke loose. To make a long story short I crushed my trainer before I got a chance to get it to the car

Oh geez guys, why are you telling me this now, AFTER I got engaged??

I agree, I dont like to fly when I am upset. Much rather get on the bike (thats non motorised, a bicycle) and go ride to clear the head...

Angry or even distracted. When I can't pay attention to the flying, I tend to just sit and talk with the guys at the field.

You're right, planes last a little longer that way.

Sorry to hear about the Pitts, hope it's repairable and that things are ok with Mrs. Salty

Oh man does this sound familiar.

BTW, pleasant conversation this past weekend...

Sorry to hear about the Pitts Salty, if I were you, I'd make this point to the missus, have another row with her and take her car for a spin immediately after....

Seldom get mad.

I seldom get mad. My wife and I have a very stable relationship. Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I had a confrontation with a person senior to me at work, long story, and I bit my tongue, but told him to his face that I was taking the rest of the day off "Sick", and tired. Anyways, I park in an underground parking. I drove past the ramp to the exit twice before I realised that the pent-up rage I was feeling did not belong behind the wheel of a car. I parked again, went for a walk, cooled off, and then drove home.

Lesson learned. Don't drive while mad. Thus, if you can't drive while mad, you can't get to the field to fly while mad.

if only...
