Just depends on your settings, cowling and how or what you fly. I am always fiddling with engine temps and needle settings. For example I have gotten good power from a Saito 40 on a test stand running through all throttle ranges and after 10oz of fuel I can still grip the cylinder with my fingers and no burn.
The Saito 40 is just one example. I have done this with many other engines but mainly four strokes.
