Well my friend is a professional photographer and he used to take pictures for a lot of the food ads and he has his own photpraphy business. He is using a nice new Nikon digital cam. The orginal picture is vey high quality and 2MB in size, that's why I was able to edit it and zoom in a bit and keep the quality.
I am waiting for more from him hopefully soon. We have elected him as the Club Photographer, and I am trying to get himn to come to the B of Q to take pictures, but I have not succedded yet.

They've moved on!

Yup, the turbine gods have moved on. We have worked the bugs out of the AV8R and now it flies like it should. It even turns left! The plane had a couple of flights today. And there are no repairs needed. It seems so simple when things go right.

Great stuff! I had my AV8R in Sudbury yesterday at the GSM 1st fun fly. I put on two flights, and Gaston flew his twice as well. (I also flew my Super Reaper 2 times, its a totally new bird with the Moore's engine and now I am really enjoying it, and landing bounce free!)

I came very close to losing my AV8R though, and I know what happened. I was flying around in slow flight at about 1/3 power. I turned to line myself on the field and do an approach (it was my first flight and I allways do some approaches at a new field before attempting to land) and I guess I tried to turn a bit too sharply, it stalled and dropped the inside wing. If I didnt react quickly, it was going to enter a spin - luckily I leveled it out and applied power, kept my hands off the elevator I know will make sure I have at least 1/2 throttle before I start turning down low (I was about 50 feet off the ground).

Later on in the day, both me and Gatson had our AV8R's in the air at the same time. Tht is the first time there have been two turbine powered models flying together in our zone, ever!
