Alright, this is my second yak up for sale.... Although, both the first one and this one have me conflicted, they are nice airframes and fly very well.
This is a ZH Yak 55 EP (44.4") which I purchased from Hobbyking. It is believed (and I agree) that this is a Hyperion built ARF (ZH is the factory) and the quality and flight characteristics are very nice.
I installed a SK3 motor (forget which size) that affords it ENORMOUS power. The vertical lines that this Yak is capable of are beautifully straight, fast and precise.
The flight characteristics and amazing, especially for a plane of only 44". It tracks straight (Yak 55 has a long tail moment) and the knife edge performance is excellent. Snaps are abrupt and precise. This is an excellent pattern/freestyle ship. It accelerates fast, and is crisp in it's movements. For landing, I mixed flaperons (has two servos for ailerons) and landings are walking pace.
I fly it on a 3s 2200, anything from 1500 - 2300 is fine in this frame. I did tear out the landing gear (really the plate just came unglued) and it has been repaired much stronger than original and recovered a 4"x4" square underneath in silver to make it look very nice.
SK3 600w Motor
40A ESC DLUX (very nice).. I think, I need to take the cowl off to see it.
(4) CS-939MG Corona servos
* These servos are really amazing, for anyone looking for nice servos that aren't unreasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.
(1) FrSky receiver (which I can take out for $20 off)
Anyway, this is a nice yak, I have loved flying it, but I need to focus on flying my bigger Yak (60"). I like these little guys so much I hardly take out my big one! That's not ok. So I'm removing the temptations.....
Thanks for looking!
