Just in case the other thread got stale, I started this one…hope no one minds.

The CBC should have a late night aviation theme week this summer, now that their new movie coming up this Sunday Mission 13 wet my appetite, and so I called a friend at the CBC to see what she thinks….and she liked the idea, and will put it on the table for TV execs…OK so lets give them a list of the top 10 movies we’d like to see…

Which movies, which contain any form of aviation, would you most like to see?

Bring it on!

Tora, Tora, Tora!
Battle of Midway
Battle of Brittain
The Dam Busters

That should get us started

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

My choice for favorite film

First of the Few, The (1942) aka Spitfire

This relatively unknown movie is the story about the development of the Spitfire and R.J. Mitchell its developer. Made during the war by Leslie Howard (produced, directed and starred) is not only a interesting story but contains some great aircraft footage. Available on VHS but not yet on region 1 DVD. A great film!

I caught the tail end of Battle of Britain the other night, due to insomnia, and would enjoy seeing it in it's entirety. Looks like a good flick.

I don't think anyone has mentioned "Flight of the Phonex".
