Thats terrible to hear. The large engines demand the utmost respect. Personally, as good as some of the large restraints are, I will NOT prop my engine unless someone I know and trust is hanging on the the plane with two hands, I have checked my transmitter stick and trim position and I know whether the kill switch is live or dead.
That could have been a deadly situation - getting hit in the gut or even the leg where there are possibilities of bleeding out. I just hope others take note and we all play safe....
Hope the fellow has a full recovery and the fingers are saved.
