Sometimes you have to get creative. What glider is it? Pictures? I have a few pure gliders but with the club being as busy as it is most of any new ones have been electric so it’s a better fit with the power crowd. When I have someone I can trust on the sticks I get the tow plane out. It’s just not feasible to drag out the winch or high start any more.

Re: Glider setup with DX-7

These 2 RCG groups are for setting up these radios, tons of hints how to do things,

This group is general DX6 to DX18 FAQ group with setup questions

This group is Sailplane programming support for the same radios
This is where sailplane programming is discussed. Sherman is just releasing new instructions with pictures, on how to program sailplane on these radios, hopefully this week. Just waiting for the link in this forum.

I have DX18 and find it not easy or intuitive as Horizon claims. I do not intend to make programming a second hobby, just want to fly so I am waiting for this new release to set things up, was using 9503 and that one was relatively easy compare to these.

Re: Glider setup with DX-7

Hey dennis, right now, have a Multiplex Astra, with flaps, a Spirit Elite, and soon my 1/4 Scale Bergfalke, with spoilers, tow release. Nothing too fancy yet. Dan, I'll take a look, thanks so much for the links! Agree, didn't want to be a programming nut, I'm sure it will get more intuitive with time, but man, Human Factors Engineers were away at lunch when the software was written for this radio. Kind of like our new helicopter!
