Century Jet Retract service

Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone out there had experience with Bruce at Century Jet Models specifically regarding retract service.

I have a set of 1/5 scale retracts that I am wanting to send back for the electric conversion that they offer. Bruce has been quite good about responding to emails in a timely manner, although he usually doesn't answer all the questions that are asked in said email. My biggest concern is his dodging my most important question of how long will it take.

Would appreciate hearing from someone who has had service done with them.

The price is great, but I don't want to send my retracts back and find that 6 months from now I'm still waiting or worse.......

Re: Century Jet Retract service

Hi Bob, I ordered a set of their retracts for my F7F and after I got them a buddy was looking at them and they were in the retracted position and he pulled on the strut and the worm gear on the motor broke. I emailed Century and let them know I was sending it back to get repaired. They emailed me back the next day with some info and it was around 3-4 weeks and I had it back with a new worm gear shaft installed at no charge.
