Congrats all around. Fly it 'till the wings come off -- then fix it & fly it some more.

Have fun.

For $300 bucks, you got a pretty good deal. As for what took me up that way... moved up there as a teenager with my parents... grew up there, brother still lives up in Whitehorse though... but I can't say I've any real desire to go back...gotten used to warm winters and fresh, reasonably priced produce I guess!

Congratulations on getting a great deal. Plane looks great.

For reference, I spent close to a thousand bucks at the hobby shop to get the equivalent package with all the doo-dahs you got thrown in.

Since this thread opened and my first post, I have seen one (only one!) negative for the Nexstar: We had one have one side of the main gear fall off in flight and disappear into the bushland adjacent the strip. I am not certain how it is secured, but I got the impression that it is a "push in and latch" type of arrangement, and if I am wrong someone who knows can correct me. In any case, it was a "fun" landing with only one main wheel.

Enjoy your plane, and as Britbrat said "Fly it 'till the wings come off -- then fix it & fly it some more." Mine has gone into the ground for the third time, (Did a figure 9 when I tore the elevator off romping around the sky a bit too hard) and is in the process of being rebuilt again.

P.S. I have a sister who lives in Whitehorse!

Hi There I learned to fly on the Nexstar. the plane handles well at slow speeds. The radio is a Futaba and has the trainer input jack.

Good Flying
