I have my second cermark motor with problems. In a high volume word this would mnot be a problem but this is onlt the second Cermark I have ever bought.
Both were different types. The second is a cobalt 15 size motor. I am running it off of 12 cells and an astro gearbox in my plane. Nothing unusual.
The problem I am having is one of the windings is becoming disconnected where the winding is crimped to the commutator. When this happens I loose RPMS although the motor will still run. I have twice soldered the winding to the commutator with silver solder but this is only temporary.I sent the first back to cermark for repairs and NEVER heard from them.
My assumption is they are a cheap knockoff of the astroflight motors and function as such.
Just checking to see if anyone out there knows how to weld copper.
If not then just letting you know to beware of this brand....... and yes, the next motor will be brushless.
