Shelby Ohio, Scale Rally, what a great event!

I just got back from a giant scale rally in Shelby Ohio. The weather was perfect and there were quite a number of aircraft registered. Everything from an ornothopter flying bird to a Scale 15 turbine powered jet. Lots of war birds and lots of 3D type machines and even the launch of three 6' high altitude rockets that soared up to 3000 feet high.

This was a very well organized event with great flying demos. Pancake breakfast each morning and a Saturday night dinner for pilots that was out of this world, door prizes and all.

On Sunday, they had 2 Special pilot's draws, the first draw was for an Airtronics RD8000 Radio system won by a pilot from Ohio and the second was a Futaba 7CAP radio system and a Futaba hat which yours truly was the lucky winner of!!! First time in my life I have won such a wonderful prize.

All in all it was a fabulous weekend and I would highly recommend anyone going to this event. Next year I will post the date and let you all know.

So that's where you were this weekend!

Hey how come you kept this a secret till after you went?

Never herd about it... would have gone!

Saturday sucked.... way to windy and coming from behind the pits. Sunday was windy to but not too bad. Only two weeks to Chatham... gota practice, practice, practice.
