They might work, but the fine print on the receiver probably says something to the effect that, "... thou shalt only use Futaba crystals in thine Futaba receiver." I'm betting that if something went wrong, your MAAC insurance would be void because you've modified the the equipment by using unapproved accessories.

Having said that, I'm only guessing as I know squat about Futaba and Hitec!

I very much doubt MAAC would ever reject a claim on the basis of equipment misuse if that is what you had in mind. After all we would then be in the business of assuring range checks, battery checks, battery cycling checks, installations, crash damage, etc etc etc.......
The average claim is of the" model hit car during takeoff due to radio failure" variety, and we have no way to check the validity of these claims or any desire to do so and serve as policeman.
Now warranty is another question and I think rightly so..........Never could understand why anyone would try to save a few bucks on a battery or switch or crystal, considering the cost of even a basic radio and trainer

Hello Rent

Have been using Hitec crystals in my Futaba receivers for years no problem at all. But don't change from high to low band or vice-versa.

GH will also give you good advise they are only a phone call away
