I got my wings....

finally, I got my wings yesterday night, it was a special feeling but the chief instructor of my club make me relax before I lift up for the first of my three I had to do, I did some rolls, loops to demonstrate the way keep the control and at what time he told me "deadstick" I land my plane like a pro and after my last flight he gave me my wings in front of all the members who was there, every body clapping in her hand, I have 50 years and it was a very special moment.

I hope all of you "newbies" can have this feeling.

Way to go! The fun doesnt start now IMO.. it started when you decided to get into this hobby. It just gets EVEN BETTER from now on....

Milestones you remember forever, like your first solo flight, getting the wings, etc.

Way to go

Congrats Yves! Many happy years in our great hobby.

Our club handed out wings a couple of weekends ago. After the first student completed his last bit, the instructor wandered out onto the field and started ragging him about all the garbage that was falling off the airplane. Told him we like a safe operation. Student looks into the pits for sympathy from the assembled gang, who all chime in "we all saw it, too."

Instructor stands in the long grass pointing at the FOD, he says. Student comes over and, of course, it's a set of shiny MAAC wings.

Can't make it too easy ....

Tres bien!

It only gets better. I earned my instructors wings last weekend and that same feeling was there again for me. Great feeling , isn't it?

Job well done!

If you don't have time to do it right this time, how are you going to have time to do it again?

Good stuff. Now you can fly when YOU want to and not when someone else has the time.

Ahhh, freedom.
