Rx problems?

Ok, I finally got a new servo for my hummingbird and am flying it in a hangar at work and everything is working dandy. Then I fly it about 15 feet away from me and loose control and it goes down. Not too hard, but enought to fold the blades, pop the hummingboard and rx out of position and fling off the tailrotor. I put everything back together and turn it on and start to add power and then the whole thing goes nuts, twitching and what not. I lower power and it gets quick hits with the motor reving then quiting. I unplug it and fool around wiggling plugs and the xtal with no improvements. I tried a new xtal, same thing. When I turn it on it appears as everything is working as normal, but when I move a stick, or add power it goes nuts again. Even when it looks normal and I tap the rx it glitches. It is a hitec 555 receiver. Is it hooped?

Sounds like a cracked printed circuit board or some thing like that in the guts of the thing. Something is making intermitant contact and gets really loose under vibration. Try running it on the bench with a couple of servos plugged into it and touch it with the body of a running dremel tool. If the servos go silly, you know something internal is loose.
