Thanks for the reply gentlemen.

I was under the impression that the plug should be annealed before the coils are extended. Is this not right? Also I didn't realize that the temperature had to be ramped up and down slowly.

Thaks again for the tip

My Wren 54 still has one of the original OS #8's I out in when I built it (about 9 hours of running so far) and I just changed the other (remember it has two plugs) about a month ago.

I am trying a K&B 1L in my Moores, so far I have a dozen flights, and about 6 ground runs and its holding up fine.

Sorry RC Man

Fingers got ahead of the brain. You are correct anneal before pulling out the coils. Yes on the bring the temp up slowly and back down slowly. Kevin, you right as well. In my PST engines and JetCat the OS or Hangar 9 works just fine. For some reason, the RAMs seemed to blow "hotter" plugs more often that is why the Rossi 8 recommendation. I wonder if it has more to do with the starting sequence than the actual engine itself?

I have a whole card of 2V Fox plugs...unfortunately they are idle bar plugs if there was someway to make them work.........

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you will have to catch up.

Hi Dean,

With regards to blowing plugs, it's not so much engine type or even start sequence but ECU software. AFAIK the RAMs specified Rossi 8's as their plug of choice, and thus would have their software specifically tweaked for it.
