If you're still struggling with this one.... I used the HPI engine exchange program to exchange my 15FE for a 15SS to put in my SNRally... it cost me 134$ (CAD) plus something like 15$ in taxes (customs)...
You keep your flywheel (if you have the new one with the collar) if you don't, send them the flywheel, and the'll send you the new one. They send you also the engine mount, free of charges!
It's ano brainer, trust me on this, it was a little long though.. something like 7 weeks it took for me, but it was worth the waiting...
The SS carburetor is sloppy thgough, there is not enough room between the idle screw and the carb opening to let pass the air filter tubing.. The screw squeezes the tubing and it's a little bit tricky to get that small screw in it's hole with my big fingers! hahahah
Oh!! and one last thing. Make sure to keep the little ball screwed on the carburetor.. because.. they don't send a new one! And, make sure you have a new plug ready also. It was my first "new engine" and got the surprise that thos elittle things don't come with a plug!
Anyway.. That's about it!
Super Nitro Rally
Nitro Star 15SS
