Hi Claude,

Sorry to hear of your mishap. I generally agree with the above concensus- too much elevator on rotation resulted in too great a climb angle. I too am curious how much elevator was applied on this take-off run.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you dumb-thumbed your jet. What I meant to say (very long-windedly) is that the flying qualities of your jet probably led to the crash. It didn't come out very clearly.

Anyway, I hope you can rebuild your airplane. My go-to airplane (GP Extra 300, matallic plum) has been rebuilt from a crash that pushed the motor mount clean through the firewall and broke the wing in half. Since then its got two or three hard flying seasons on it and it just keeps getting better.

Sorry to see your mishap ! I have to agree with the rest of the guys, way too rapid rotation . Most airplanes will drop a wing in an accelerated stall condition. Next time be gentle with the rotation, especially if you have a lot of elevator throw.
