NOIC - IMAC great time

Well let me be the first to congratulate Craig and Lee and all the others that helped put together the NOIC. I hesitated to attend but I am thoroughly glad I did. Mr. Clemmens stopped into the shop on Friday and offered to help get my plane up and ready while I worked, offered the ride up, shared his hotel room and then along with Jim Daly and Gary Maker, all helped fix a couple things on it. I gotta say IMAC gents are super friendly and a hoot to hang out with. When I had trouble with my engine Sat. morn, AC offered his backup plane without hesitation. Class act, even though we're not on the same mode. These kinds of things were seen all weekend with everyone helping everyone.

That aside, the flying was awsome and there were only a couple minor mishaps with planes. Most of the guys had fun and made the most of the weekend and I can't wait to get out and practice now! I'm comin to get you next time Gary!! heh heh.

I took some pictures but not as many as I thought I would. The gallery is posted at my site so wander over and click on the IMAC NOIC icon. NOIC-IMAC

When I was at Jims place on Friday, there was a Dave Patrick 40% Edge in the corner, and a DA 150 sitting on the self as well! I think James should just use it. His dad will never get around to it either when he is out hitting those silly little balls most days during the week...

I must agree with James about the great time we had at the NOIC!!

All the fellows were terriffic and we had a real blast! It was good to see so many in competition for BASIC with 13 entrants. This means there are a lot of new fellows who are getting their flying wings wet in competition and who will get hooked on IMAC like the rest of us.

My personal thanks to Lee and Craig who put on an awsome event! Congratulations guys! These fellows really worked hard and went way out of their way to see that things were done right and assured a good time for all of us. I will definitely mark this on my calender as a must attend event!

Also my thanks to my buddy Jim Daly aka Scaleguy who made it possible for me to attend by driving and sharing his room for the stay over! And to Mike Clemmens for his helpful advise throught out the competition and for bringing his buddy, Marvin the Martion who made surprise visits throughout the weekend! LOL!

Also I had a breakdown that would have kept me out of competing for the last two rounds had it not been for a few of the fellows coming to my rescue and working feriously to get me up and going again...Andrew, Jim M and Dad, Jim D, Franko, DenMac, thankyou so much! And last but not least, I'm ready for you James although I do know that next time I will really have my hands full competing against you for sure!!!

We in Southern Ontario get to do this all over again this coming weekend at the Stoney Creek event and I hope to see you all there!

I beleive this freind was non other then Bulwinkle the MoosE.. more appropriate for the territory we were in! The clue was the line "pull a rabbit from my hat". Marvin is more likely to say " The Xj9 Conbobulator".
