Just trying to be helpfull. I did not realize a cowl for the Sukhoi was made here. And I did not realize that buying from the US was frowned upon on this site. Must make it difficult to buy radios, engines, retracts and kits when a person has such national pride. Fortunately most Americans seem to have no such hang up about selling to Canadians. I've got some good things from that side of the line. Greg

Most Radios and engines and just about everything else is manufactured overseas not in the US. So if your LHS brings stuff in why not buy from him? I like to support Canadian bussiness people as much as I can.

Don't take the so seriously I was just pointing out that you did not have to go to all the trouble of bringing something in from the States when you could get it locally.

I to have purchased many things and sold many things to our neighbours to the south. What's wrong with some National Pride? It ouzes out of most Americans but seams to be frowned apon by Canadians.. go figure

I realize that that most of the things we buy are not made in America. I made that statement to point out that without the international market there would be a lot of Unionville Beavers flying free flight rubber powered up here.

I'm almost finnished my Unionville Turbo Beaver. It has a German engine, Japanese radio and American hardware. All bought locally. I have no problem with supporting Canadian manufacturers. Some day I will buy a Clarke Industries Spitfire because it looks to be about the best one out there. Not just because it is Canadian made.

I often pay more for items just to support my favorite local Hobby Shop when I could save a few bucks buying from the blue catalogue or worse yet the red one. What I get in return for the extra money is personal service, good advice and the convenience of having a local shop.

I bought my CG Sukhoi kit on RCU from a very pleasant gent in the US and it included the fibreglass cowl and belly pan. I paid a very reasonable price for it. I was only giving this guy a potential source for what he wanted.
