Well, technically it isn't, but it is without a safety net. I took a 2 hour lesson on Sunday from Darren at the Toronto Heli Club . I was doing fine with tail in hover and so so with side hover. This year I only managed about 6 tanks, so I decided to opt for lessons. This guy is worth it. All his equipment, raidios, heli and buddy box. Darren will push your limits and won't take over until the very last possible second - and it was close.

After a couple of tanks with Darren, I was fairly confident I could do it on my own, but was still nervous. Tonight went great. Two tanks and no problems, although I almost spilled it when I transitioned back to tail in and was landing. If I didn't have the training gear on, it wouldn't have been pretty.

Next is to start tail in and swing around to nose in. Good thing the LHS has lots of parts.
I never crash...I land with style!

That's great Fodder. An old and very good heli pilot at our club once told me this "If you don't scare yourself at least once a day of practice with your heli you are NOT learning"
I have pushed myself to do more and more everytime i took my heli out. and now i am confident even in winds to 20 or 25 kmh.
