I have flown the Ryan with a 91 four stroke and it flew very well. This plane had the Robarts Gear and some extra detailing. The wing loading was still light and it flew like a charm. Your choice of a 100 to 120 is more than enough power. Go with dependability and price. My two choices would be Saito or OS. The particular one I flew had a Thundertiger in it. Though the engine was flawless I would still prefer Saito or OS. For the utmost in engine reliability you might want to consider the Nelson Glo driver. Take the time to read how this driver works it is more expensive but it blows the others out of the water. This is Nelson's home page its under electronic items

Excellent points. My purpose in getting this plane is: looks and "scale flying". I want speed, I take the dust up for a few knee-knockin minutes.

and thanks for the point about the on board glow. I don't have any inverted engines (one is sideways--thanks Nuker ) and it runs just fine w/o the glow.

That can wait. Just have to decide on power. It may just come down to a coin toss.

Thanks for all your suggestions folks. I'll post when it gets bought & built.
