Haven't had a lot of good flying weather this summer, wondering if its been the same around the rest of the country?

It's been great weather here on average, I've been at the field at least 2-3 times a week...been doing lots of full-size flying too.

Too hot to fly here. Death Valley. Its 110 F after about 1100 in the morning for the rest of the day.

To top it off, its too hot in the garage to build.

Best time to fly is winter, but then its the rainy season.

The solution is to get up at 0530 and build/fly before the sun comes up.

Always a compromise...

We've had lots of rain, cold and wind. Today, however was perfect, but that has been the exception rather than the rule this summer

Of course, we still fly but it's not as much fun in the rain

From what I've seen watching the weather every night the east has been cool and wet, the west hot and dry. Here on the wet coast you go flying from 10-noon, or you go out after supper. It's way to hot to be fun in the afternoon. I am starting to look forward to the winter moonsoon .

Actually the weather here has been very warm, but the winds are always up, and when they're not it seems to rain so its not allowing much time to get in the flying.

Weather

I think I have gone flying a total of 5 times since last fall. I am going crazy here. The best flying days I have to work. We had one little streak of nice weather when I wasn't working but my plane was in a tree so no flying. I hope tomorrow is nice, Sun. is our regular flying day well that was last year anyhow. Now it's more like irregular .
