Just a quick word of caution to any of you who are contemplating cooking your motor parts in anti-freeze.
Whatever you use to contain the antifreeze while heating it, (crock-pot or whatever) be sure to mark it well and NEVER use it again to cook anything to be consumed. The antifreeze will leave a LETHAL dose of Ethylene glycol in the pores of the container. Yes, I said LETHAL - it would probably kill you!
Other than that minor detail, the process works great

My mom let me use an old camping pot that we no longer use, and after I was done cooking my engine in the anti-freeze i broke out my black and red permenant marker and wrote "unsafe for use" on the lid and pot with cool looking skulls with crossed bones.... I was bored

What's amazing is that so many folks actually have a crock pot at home and so few ever use it. Luckily RC gave me a purpose for ours

Apparently antifreeze tastes sweet,so its not just enough to keep it out of reach of your kids, but also think about your cat or dog who have been known to drink it with the same results as a human..........

Kevin,
I lost my Irish Setter that way and 2 cats on the farm. It is a painful death for them. The other word of caution I strongly advise is keep it on a top shelf away from any kids. The young ones will get into anything and since it is sweet you don't want to find out.
