Hey everyone, just a heads up for this coming weekend's first IMAA Big Bird event at the Greater Sudbury Modelers site, in Hanmer ON. That's right, come watch the big birds fly all weekend long and enjoy what GSM has to offer.

Our grand opening in July was a huge success, and we're hoping to build on that for this event. If you have a big plane, 2 days, and the itch to fly it, pack it up in the car/truck/van or whatever you have, and bring it on down to the field.

The flight lines open up at 10:00 am sharp, and there should be planes in the sky for the entire day.

We're hoping that everyone coming out can have a great time and some equally great weather. If you require directions to our field, please, send me an email @ and I'll gladly give those directions to you.

For more information about our club, please, visit to see what we're about.

Well that's it for another year. Our last main event finished with. The Northern Ontario Big Bird is now behind us. Their are to many people to thank, pilots, ground crew and the spectators, thanks to you all. From a financial point of view it was a great success. Easily the best attended model airshow over the last 10 years in Sudbury (I'm talking spectators). We could have done with a few more pilots, several guys flew over 15 times in one day. I'm aware their was a conflict on dates that will be address by next years event. Thanks to the pilots who participated in the combat, better luck next year.
Local pilots SMAC / CAMBRIAN / TARMAC. Thanks for the support and the Big Birds.
Hope to see more of you this year.
