Thanks Myles.. I still have to measure for the starter wand.. I'll get to that sometime this year

And Chuckster, yep, it's this coming weekend. Saturday and Sunday.. We'll be there all day both days at the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre. Should be a good turnout of planes and GSM Members..

I haven't seen the field yet personally, but from what I've heard, it's still going to be a couple of weeks before the facility is flight worthy.. I'm not quite sure though..

More pics and a small video treat coming tonight.. Just waiting for my dad to upload the pics and video at his place, then I can post them online.

Just 2 parts left to paint, then touchup with the brush on the overspray and I can say that the painting's complete (minus the clear to be done next week)..

I LOVE the way it came out today, and I'm overly impressed with the finish now.

Anyways, on to the pics:

As you can see, I painted the "25201" on the V-fin. I had to brush it on, and it was a pain.. I didn't get the chance to do the other side yet, and that's one of the 2 things that need to be completed for paint.

Here you can see that we finished the blue ring around the flag to complete that marking and also sprayed the intake area... You'll also notice the canopy markings sprayed on too.. That was fun
Also, the black bar in front of the fin is done

Another view of the front.. canopy done

Shot straight on.. messy inside the fuse.. still not done in there yet.. :S

Crooked cameraman

And what I think is the best shot of it so far..

So, what's left to paint?

"25201" on rhs of the v-fin.. and the lines on top of the wings.. Should be finished those Thursday as I'm workin tomorrow night..

Oh.. yeah, I have a video of something.. It's pretty cool..

A couple of pages back, there's a few images of the nav-lights installed.. Well, here's a video of the system working and the landing light operational by way of remote.. When my throttle goes below 1/2, the light comes on. when I go back above, it goes off....
