Funjet woes

So I got a funjet NIB off of a member here, the build went well took it out for some flights it was under-propped but flew pretty good once it got going. I ran into a problem with the landing, even though it was a flat belly landing the prop snagged in the grass and one of the screws on the motor mount sheared. The screws that came with it have pretty aggressive threads and I'm not sure if I can find something that will work locally, so being impatient I used some hot glue on the mount side that has the broken screw, three flights in all looked good. fourth flight not so much again with the prop snag in the grass.

So my question is would it be a bad idea to slap on some 30 minute epoxy on that side? I know I would never get it off again with out damaging the mount but it would hold alot better than hot glue or thick CA right? I don't know if I would be able to get the broken screw out because of the tight clearance to the plastic of the part the motor mount mounts to on the plane.

Re: Funjet woes

Sounds like your prop is too big. I have about 300 flights on a couple of different Funjets and never had a prop snag.
