Team Scale Rules 1'st Revision (Scoring zip file added)

I have received emails and talked with a few interested individuals as well as the input received here. I have made some revisions to reflect your input. The biggest change is in the scoring. Instead the scoring is much simpler and allows any number of the team members to fly. Simply put the highest flight score of each round for each team regardless of who the pilot was will be used in the calculation of the team score. This way there is an advantage to field as many flyers as one team can to have the greatest number of scores from each round to choose from.

Teams Static Score: 1. Accuracy of outline 0-20 points 15 given
2. Craftsmanship 0-20 points 18 given
3. Color and Markings 0-20 points 10 given

In this example 4 members choose to fly. In this case all of them flew the 3 rounds. If you look at the sample sheet you will see the scores by each pilot by round. In this sample the first round Pilot # 2 had the best score so it is entered in the bottom of that column. Round #2 Pilot # 1 had 47 points and in the third round Pilot # 3 contributed 51 points. These three are added up and a total for the team is 137 points. Add this to the static score and the team total is 180 points. This score determines the placement of the team for the Team Scale Awards and the best part is more than one pilot contributed to the team score.

Notice on the right hand side of the score sheet each pilots total of the best two rounds are listed. This score would determine the award for Top Pilot.

How does this sound? Comments suggestions???? Well the jpg idea sucked so the sample score sheet is included as a zipped file in word you will have to download it to view it.

Ok I read through it ... is the the final version you want me to send through the committee?

I'm willing to give it a trial run ... provided I get enough volunteers ... depending on responce, that could result in a lot of rounds to fly/judge.....

team scale

I would put a maximum limit on the number of pilots at three.
