Top of the wing, with it's first coat of primer, and tomorrow I'll get the bottom done.

Re: Top Flite T-34

After a nice long vacation, followed by a lot of shop cleanup, and garden chores, I've finally gotten back to the T-34, as well as the Wildcat. While waiting for resin to dry on the Wildcat's right wing, I started masking and spraying the colour on the top of the Mentor's wing. Just the center section to go.

Re: Top Flite T-34

It is a very nice colour scheme.

Should be very easy to see and with re-enforced airframe, should be good for just about anything

Re: Top Flite T-34

I've finished the top of the wing, have it all covered and taped, and working on all of the gloss white on the bottom. Should have that done tomorrow, then I can do the invasion stripes on the bottom, set up the flap and aileron servos, and cut the retract axles to length. Need to paint the wheel wells, after I glass them, and that's it for the wing! Fuse is in the wings waiting.

Re: Top Flite T-34

All the painting is done, just need to hook up the flaps, and cut the wheel axles, then wing is done, except for graphics, and final clearcoat.

Re: Top Flite T-34

Nice work.
You got me working on mine again. I have to ask is did you double the width of the wing tips from what the plans show?
Yours look a lot wider than mine.
Could you give me a close-up of it please?

Randy

Re: Top Flite T-34

Ahh, well, yours is a T-34, and I'm building the T-34C Turbo Mentor. Different wing tips! I'll take some photos though, for you, but don't copy unless you feel like doing a complete Turbo Mentor build!

Re: Top Flite T-34

Ok thanks for the heads up. I didn't hear a mention of you doing the turbo model until I re-read the posts just now.
Just couldn't tell from the instructions what the profile is and wether or not I goofed up.
