I would like to buy a Mustang for a DA50. Would the Top-Flite ARF be a good choice ?

I would think so Andre, i think it is about the only one out there big enough, they say a us 41 will fly it, but everyone is happier with the us 52, so the DA should be awesome, balance might be a problem, as the DA is very light, let me know if you get one, i will build you a custom scale exhaust

Read a review recently (RC Report I think) were they put a ZDZ 40 in a TF mustang. They had to add a box for the rear carb which is a bit of extra work. And the manifold for the Pitts muffler didn't fit inside the cowling so they had to cut a big hole in the side which to me doesn't look as good.Other than that the performance was great.Check out that article Andre..Steve

I have a Topflite ARF Mustang with a Brison 2.4 and it came out slightly nose heavy, yes I said nose heavy, although I didn't put a retractable tailwheel in it which would have added some tailweight. All I can say is THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR ANYMORE POWER THAN THIS.

If you are going to use the Robart retracts be ready for some grief !!!!!!!

I know of a TF Giant P-51 ARF with a DA-50 for power. The power to weight is in a word..."PHENOMINAL". I know I'm the guy that says "Too much power...just isn't enough" but this thing flys very scale at 1\2 throttle(maybe a little more). When you give it a quick punch to full throttle you'd swear the engine is going to leap right off the firewall. Scary stuff but as the owner put it.."A little adrenaline rush is what I'm in the hobby for"

One huge drawback to the DA is extreme loss of cowl if scale appearance is high on your list then check out the Revolution 52 at

It's even Canadian made, and absolutely perfect for the big's what's going in mine!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! How about that 95cc single for $579!
Giant scale is becoming affordable!
