Hi Fodder

Can you be a little more specific on how much nitro you use. Let's say you had a saito 1.50, with a 16oz. tank... how long would it take to burn????

Thanks agian

Hi Bobby

I think Fodder might have misunderstood what you were asking. How much fuel the engines consume, really depends on a number of factors (eg. prop size, pitch and rpms, throttle setting, plane, plus a number of other criteria can all play a factor)

It is correct though that these engines do go through some serious fuel. What application where you inquiring about?

Bob

Oh, fuel consumption. I think I have a 16 OZ tank and almost wide open will give me 7 - 8 minutes. Running really really rich as still new.

The 1.80 is going to consume 20% more than the 1.50.

At full throttle and 10000 RPM, the 1.50 should consume 1.1 - 1.2 oz / min if the mixture is ideal.

I figure I'll get a solid 10 - 12 minutes of flight eventually. Right now I have my timmer set for 6 minutes and that gives me time to get in to land. I don't really want to dead stick in the plane.
