has anyone ever heard of a 48 4 stroke? i had never even heard of one before last night when one of my dads friends brought it over in an older trainer......said that he was looking to sell it and i wanted to get an opinion on the motor so that we could make an educated decision on whether it would be a worthwhile purchase....

Yup, I also have two, bought one just recently for parts here also.

Last one I flew in a Sig Kadet Senior. They are good running engines.

Hello; I have that engine in a Midwest Suhkoi, I think I have one or two others too, it's a fine engine. Plenty of power not at aoo fussy, set it and forget it. I actually prefer it to the OS 52 that replaced it, as most people have problems setting the carb up on those. If you don't buy it let me know, I'm always on the lookout for a good engine.

There are a few others at my field who like that engine too, one in a Kadet senior, one in a mid wing Idon'tknowwhat, and one in a LT40. Just fuel and fly.
