Unfortunately in some peoples world there is no room for any way/opinion etc. other than their own myopic view. Thank goodness they are in the minority and the rest of the good people get to enjoy the hobby as it suits them.

Pictures and articles can be submitted by the general membership. Talk to the editor and find out what he would like to see submitted then enlist someone in your club who is a good writer, get copies of the best pictures taken at the event and do your own article.

Usually if an event is not listed it hasn't been submitted to MAAC.

You can try sending pictures to the ZD with information such as make, model, power, size, pilot and club etc. I'm sure any ZD would be happy to have material to add to the zone report.

I've known Kevin McGrath for many years and he has always been pretty consistent submitting his zone reports and representing the events throughout his zone.

Re: MAAC Magazine

I have to say the same for Steve Hughes of Zone C..... This is his last year and has decided to not rerun this fall. Will be hard to replace him as he has done one bang up job over the last half dozen plus years.

Don't know what you mean. The pdf is the digital(tablet?) version unless you can point me somewhere else. It was not on the MAAC site at first when the paper edition shows up.

It appears to be up to date now, so yes I will go through the pdf version.

Re: MAAC Magazine

I wonder if the MAAC Mag has outlived it's usefulness. Before the internet it served a useful purpose keeping modelers across Canada informed. I don't bother reading it any longer, skim through looking at the pictures. Zone reports are always the same, the names are the only thing that really changes.

Now that the MAAC web site is coming along well, I believe it could be better utilized to keep modelers of MAAC happenings.

I have the Ipad version of the MAAC app and It froze on me today.....delete.

Re: MAAC Magazine

No matter how you want it distributed it can't run content that wasn't submitted. Anyone can write up a story about their local event & submit it along with some photos. MAC doesn't have a team of traveling reporters visiting each event nor can they afford to try to get it in place.

Re: MAAC Magazine

Wake up guys there are no hired MAAC reporters running around keeping everyone informed on your zone event activities - Please take some time and submit something to share with the whole country.

The only promotion is self promotion.
PS: Please read the jet section this month lol
