Hey there,

Just buy it, they go on eBay for around $600 usd NIB. They fly fine, don't weight it too heavy or like Wild Bill says, it will be a boat. They used a .60 on them back in the 70's with out the belt drive. The belt drive did increase the speed a bit, but that was due to the larger prop that cleared the huge cowel. Here is my 2 cents worth.

1st. cover your pitts in econocoat, the reason is its very very low temp for the foam.

2nd. do not use a gas engine unless you coat the entire inside of your fuse, gas tends to melt the foam very fast sometimes even when your flying.

3rd. it flys great, flown 4 of them over the years. The only boat I had was the one I own now, it has a G45 in it, way too heavy.

They were very popular back in the 70's 80's no 3D back then.

Hello; I had one of those for three years. I painted the fuse, inside and out with water based varathanepaint (white), I was concerned that I was over building at the time, but it proved to be a good decision as when I sold it, it was still crisp and stiff.

I had a Quadra 50 on it, I have a Pegasus and I wanted to use that in it, but I never got around to it. Mine was Yellow and Black. I sold it at a swap and shop for local flyers for $300. I Kept the servos but not the engine.
