I found the best primer to be the gray Krylon spray type. It has good bite and dries really fast.

Paint with Testors Model Masters Enamel based flat colours, and if you have to mask any areas, use either friskit film or low tack painters tape.

Clear coat the whole thing with Varathane brand waterbased polyurethane, flat in the spray can.

I use the spray paint from walmart. Mask the area, spray and good to go. No priming or anything. However, if you used ca accelerator on the coro the paint will not stick.

Right you are recon. I've had good results from the fast dry WalMart spray paint too (ColourPlace). The can says it contains Urethane for extra hardness. Maybe that's what makes it fuel proof. I wipe the coro with alcohol before spraying. Pull your masking tape off while the paint is still wet. It also stays put on the inside of my pop bottle cowls.
