Keven, ditto for me on Hitec! I have pretty much switched over to all Hitec digitals now and I just love them. Only been using digitals for a season in two different airplanes but so far not one single issue! In the last 6 or 7 years I have pretty much used only Hitec servos, a lot of servos, and I had one brand new servo that came to me not working. I sent it back and it was replaced very quickly, no questions asked and not even the shipping was charged! I have never had a servo falure while flying!

Personally I do have an alterior motive in that I get the servos through a friend at a greatly reduced price but if they were half as bad as some folks like to say they are, then I wouldn't buy them if they were only $2 a piece. They work very relyably for me, are reasonably priced and do the job I need so thats all that really counts in my book!

Hey !? Where's all the talk about the new Hitec servo's? For starters, I wonder about the diff servo gear applications. I was thinking of trying the karbonite gears on my 35% Edge wing, anyone put some hours on these yet? I have 100 long flights on my 5645's now and the metal gear train has developed some slop. Perhaps I will see if I can get some karbonite gears for them. On the titanium gear set I suspect all the gears are ti? Also I assume the advantage is better wear over the std MG sets. Now in regards to servo failures how much time did u guys have on them when they failed? Where u able to determine what actually failed in them?
